Story Meditation is a way to get the benefits of meditation without having to actually meditate.  Numerous studies have established the benefits of meditation.  Meditation is good for your physical and mental health, and generally just makes everyday life feel a lot better.  Dr. Courtney Johnson, who coined the term "Story Meditation" and who writes the actual CDs, wanted to create something that would give the benefits of meditation without requiring that one actually learn all the ins-and-outs of meditation.
